Home

Recently at church a chorus we sang include the phrase, “You are my refuge, my home.” You are my home. That resonated with me. I recalled the way I feel during my quiet times with the Lord. I feel at home.

Home is supposed to be our refuge. A place we feel safe. A place we can relax and be ourselves. A place we can be encouraged and comforted. A place where we are loved unconditionally. Being in the presence of God offers all that and more.

I know that ultimately our eternal home is in heaven. This earth is not our home. But we can sense that feeling of being home during those moments we quietly spend with Jesus, letting the world fade from our thoughts and focusing on Him.

I encourage you not to neglect your opportunities to be “home.” Don’t get too busy to spend time with Jesus. Be willing to shut out the world and truly experience the joys of spending time at home with Him.

“Be still, and know that I am God!”
Psalm 46:10

  1. Dear Brothers and sisters, My name is Jean Rony Toussaint, the President of ASHOG, a registered Haitian charity which does not receive any funding or support from the Haitian government. I’m a teacher and also very active leader in my church in Anse-a-Galets, La Gonave Island. I have been working for the people of La Gonave for many years, trying to improve the lives of the impoverished, orphaned and disabled people. I speak quite good English .

We are always looking for individuals or teams who would like to visit (short or long term), spend time with the people, encourage people, medical teams, building teams, teaching/school or orphanage visits, or anything at all. It is such an amazing place. The people are so grateful for any assistance they receive. And despite their extreme poverty, they are so generous and kind.
It will be a life changing experience I can assure you, and a trip God will
    richly bless

    • I am doing a blog at http://www.PrayForMinistriesAroundTheWorld.blog, inviting people to pray. If you would like to send me more information about your ministry and some specific prayer requests, I’d be happy to consider them for a post.

After that, please feel free to send me updated praise reports and prayer requests from time to time, and I will be happy to do additional posts.

If you have photos you’d like me to include, please send those as well.
