A Must-Read

f3261d54cf0850326b5f38344e90d9feI am on Hal Lindsey’s mail list and receive this email this week. It’s a great overview of prophecy fulfilled in 2018. I hope you will take a few minutes to read it.

January 11th, 2019

At the beginning of each year, it is my practice on “The Hal Lindsey Report” to review the previous year and highlight both major and minor events or developments that I believe have prophetic significance.

This week, I’ll present Part One of “2018: The Prophetic Year in Review.”

At the beginning of his masterpiece, A Tale of Two Cities, Charles Dickens wrote: “It was the best of times. It was the worst of times.”

Wow! He could have been writing about the United States of America in 2018. All we ever hear is that it is the worst of times. Reality says that, in many ways, it has been the best of times.

Off-the-charts employment — for all racial groups — and increasing wages. A booming economy as manufacturing returns to the US. “Merry Christmas!” is back. We regularly hear God’s name invoked in public by our top leaders. There has been a resurgence of respect for America’s strength and leadership around the world. In many ways, it seems like America is becoming America again.

Yet 2018 was also a year of constant rage. Especially in the media. There was an uptick in the number of mass killings. Protests turned violent. Political rhetoric burned red-hot. Accusations of harassment, rape, racism, even murder, were flung willy-nilly, often without a hint of real proof. Lives were turned upside down, or ruined, for political gain. America’s moral foundation continued to crumble. Censorship and persecution emerged from the shadows.

But these things were not just limited to the United States. It is happening all over the world. There were record levels of drug use and record numbers of suicides. Political turmoil has become the norm, not the exception, in nations across the world.

In some ways, these developments could describe past years, but there seems to be an increased sense of urgency and anxiety across the world as 2019 dawns. But then, we know to expect that. Jesus warned us that it would be this way as the time of His return to earth approached.

On this week’s program, I will discuss some of those things — many of them downplayed in the media — that contribute to this sense that the world is spinning out of control. I will look at the sinister collusion of the world’s most famous and powerful technology firms as they lay the groundwork for the coming Antichrist.

Two of them, Facebook and Apple, were exposed by the media for their deceptive practices and their collusion with foreign communist and repressive dictatorships. As a result, both of these firms lost massive amounts of value — mind-boggling sums — and have brought the world to the brink of financial catastrophe. Yet the upper leadership of neither firm has been held accountable for those actions. (Probably because they are closely allied with the Left in America and the globalist forces worldwide.)

Jesus warned of increased “pestilence” near the end of this Age of Grace. Throughout the year, I reported on the rise of antibiotic-resistant “superbugs,” but 2018 also saw an increase in another form of pestilence: computer viruses and cyber warfare malware. And just like a physical virus, they spread exponentially and with increasing speed until stopped. And with the world’s increased — and in some case near total — dependence on computers, these viruses literally put billions of lives at stake.

In 2018, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced a new generation of nuclear-powered, nuclear-armed missiles. With almost unlimited range and frightening speed, these new missiles ratcheted up the existential threat that Russia poses to the world. Though the initial tests were unsuccessful, near the end of the year, it appears the Russians may have figured out their problems.

Many analysts and military experts are predicting that this may ignite a new Cold War. Undeniably, a new global arms race.

That includes the European Union where its two most powerful leaders are calling for the creation of an Army of Europe. French President Emmanuel Macron is promoting the idea so that Europe can protect itself from Russia, China, and… the United States. Apparently, we’ve moved from friend to foe in Macron’s globalist imagination.

But we shouldn’t be surprised. Bible prophecy indicates that the Antichrist will emerge from Europe and, of course, he’ll need his own powerful military machine. As we say each week at the top of the Report: “Yesterday’s prophecies. Today’s headlines.”

In 2018, President Donald Trump made good on his campaign promise to withdrew the United States from the insidious Iran nuclear deal. Of course, the mainstream media (along with former Secretary of State John Kerry and President Barack Obama) howled that Trump’s action would ignite a global catastrophe. Further, he had cast aspersions on the integrity of our trusted co-signer to the deal, Iran.

A few months later, Israel validated the wisdom of President Trump’s decision. Israeli agents had discovered the existence of Iran’s “Atomic Archive” in a nondescript warehouse in Tehran. It was a hidden cache of information and documentation of Iran’s attempts to create nuclear weapons.

So they stole it. And hauled it back to Jerusalem. And Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed it to the United Nations and the world.

The archive confirmed what we all knew, but the Obama administration ignored. Iran’s leaders have been lying all the time. And by agreeing to the deal, we cleared Iran’s path to nuclear weapons and, in a bizarre twist, provided substantial funding. Iran has been exposed to the world and their intentions cannot be denied.

2018 saw the continued coalescing of the three powers that the Bible predicts will someday launch an attack on Israel: Iran, Turkey, and Russia. All three now have a military presence in Syria, on Israel’s northern doorstep.

China has the second largest military budget in the world. Five times greater than the United Kingdom. They are feverishly working to perfect a “railgun.” Using electromagnetism rather than gunpowder or cordite to propel its projectiles, a railgun’s range is significantly greater than conventional artillery. Its projectile travels at five times the speed of sound.

China is also on the cusp of having a working HD1 supersonic, anti-ship missile. It is often described as the “aircraft carrier killer.”

Since the beginning of 2019, China has landed a probe on the dark side of the moon. This indicates that China is deadly serious about its space program. I say “deadly” because China’s paramount purpose for its space program is to destroy US satellites. And the most powerful military machine in the world — the US armed forces — is dangerously dependent on its satellites.

But, as I often observe, Bible prophecy does not appear to indicate a role for the United States in the cataclysmic events leading up to Jesus Christ’s return to this earth. That’s why every threat to America, be it economic, moral, political, or military, must be viewed as prophetically significant.

I’ll discuss all of these developments and more on this week’s broadcast.

Folks, I know I say this often, but things really are heating up! If you’ve not been serious about getting ready to leave this world when Jesus comes back for us, don’t waste another moment! No prophecies remain to be fulfilled before that day happens. He could come at any moment. Get ready!

I’ll continue “2018: The Prophetic Year in Review” next week with Part Two.

Only One Hope

f3261d54cf0850326b5f38344e90d9feI receive a weekly e-newsletter from Hal Lindsey. He explains end time prophecies that are taking place right now. Here is an excerpt from this week’s letter:

One of the hallmarks of the last days will be the rise of irrationality. Romans 1:28 says, “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind to do those things which are not proper.” The Greek context here means God gave them over to a mind that cannot even think in its own best interest.

Satan must be pleased. Hatred is on the rise in America. Everywhere we look, from politics to family life to racial groups to religious traditions to economic classes to sports, our impatience, disgust, and sheer hatred of one another is exploding.

Everything we once held to be true and normal now seems to be turned on its head. No one trusts anyone anymore. But it’s no wonder. Truth has become a rare commodity in America today. Conscience even rarer.

I’m reminded of a remark found in Isaiah 5 that could perfectly describe the world today. Isaiah wrote, “They say that what is right is wrong and what is wrong is right; that black is white and white is black; bitter is sweet and sweet is bitter.” (Isaiah 5:20 TLB)

As Christians, we need to keep looking up. It would be so easy to be overwhelmed by the turmoil that surrounds us, but we must remember that God is in control. Yes, there are more and more signs that we are in the last days. And we may be tempted to look at the evil surrounding us and think, “Where have you gone, Lord?”

He hasn’t gone anywhere. He is still here. He is still in control. And He will still help us, no matter what we face, if we will trust Him.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Habakkuk lived during perilous times. He cried out to God.

How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen! “Violence is everywhere!” I cry, but you do not come to save. Must I forever see these evil deeds?
Why must I watch all this misery? Wherever I look, I see destruction and violence. I am surrounded by people who love to argue and fight. The law has become paralyzed, and there is no justice in the courts. The wicked far outnumber the righteous, so that justice has become perverted.
Habakkuk 1:2-4 NLT

But God assured Habakkuk that He hadn’t gone anywhere. Here was His reply:

The Lord replied, “Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn’t believe even if someone told you about it.”
Habakkuk 1:5 NLT

You may want to read the prophet’s continued comments and questions and God’s replies in the short book of Habakkuk. At the conclusion of the book, he said this:

Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LordI will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.
Habakkuk 3:17-19 NLT

We are in spiritual warfare, folks. And it is going to get worse. Are we willing to declare, as Habakkuk did, that no matter what happens we will rejoice in the God of our salvation? Are we willing to depend on our Sovereign Lord as our strength? Are we willing to trust him no matter what?

Hal Lindsey concluded his letter by reminding us of our ultimate hope . . . Jesus Christ.

I say it again. This is spiritual warfare. It doesn’t have anything to do with rationality or intellectual debate. When the establishment comes after you because of your Christian beliefs, recognize that the source of that hostility is Hell itself.

Satan is behind the hatred of God’s people, whether it’s the Jews or true Christians. And he is going all-out to destroy the true church and everything the followers of Christ have built. That includes America.

But I have some good news.

Jesus said, “In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 NASB)

In II Corinthians 5:20, the Apostle Paul calls us “ambassadors for Christ.”

Consider this. Before hostilities break out between nations, they withdraw their respective ambassadors.

At some point in the near future, God will unleash His wrath against Satan and sin. But before He declares war on this sin-infested planet, God will remove His ambassadors. He will evacuate us from this hostile situation. He will get us out before the real shooting-war begins.

We call this evacuation operation “The Rapture.”

The Bible calls it our “blessed hope.” (Titus 2:13 NASB)

God Is Still Here!

dear-godDo you find yourself avoiding news reports? They usually seem like bad news . . . and more bad news. Some days it would be easy to let fear take control.

Do you ever wonder where God is in all this? Good news! He is right here. And he is in control.

In control! How can that be! The world looks like chaos to us. Frightening chaos. But his perspective is different. He told us this was coming. Here are just a few of the multitude of scriptures drawing a picture of the world in the last days.

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. (2 Peter 3:3 NLT)

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that! (2 Timothy 3:1-5)

Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone mislead you, for many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah.’ They will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately. Nation will go to war against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in many parts of the world. But all this is only the first of the birth pains, with more to come.

“Then you will be arrested, persecuted, and killed. You will be hated all over the world because you are my followers. And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24:4-14 NLT)

“There will be great earthquakes, and there will be famines and plagues in many lands, and there will be terrifying things and great miraculous signs from heaven.” (Luke 21:11 NLT)

My husband and I tuned into Rev. Allan Lockerman’s message Sunday (First Baptist Church Cleveland). He preached from Habakkuk. Such a timely message. The world then was in a mess too–and Habakkuk wondered where God had gone. He started out this way:

How long, O Lord, must I call for help?
    But you do not listen!
“Violence is everywhere!” I cry,
but you do not come to save.
Must I forever see these evil deeds?
Why must I watch all this misery?
Wherever I look,
    I see destruction and violence.
I am surrounded by people
who love to argue and fight.
The law has become paralyzed,
and there is no justice in the courts.
The wicked far outnumber the righteous,
so that justice has become perverted. (Habakkuk 1:2-4 NLT)

Ever feel that way?

Habakkuk continued with more complaints and God responded to each one. Bottom line? Yes, God is here. Yes, he knows what’s going on. In fact, he is in what is going on. His perspective is so different from ours. He’s working out his plan–and his plan is perfect. The scene is being prepared for Christ’s return!

So what should our response be as we watch the horrors going on around us? Faith in our Lord. Faith that he will indeed work all things together for good. Faith that no matter how senseless and chaotic things appear, he is still on his throne. Faith that he will never, never leave us alone. No matter what we have to face here on earth, he will be with us. And if we have received Jesus as Lord and Savior, we have the promise of heaven. A perfect eternity with him.

Another response should be to take Jesus’s Great Commission seriously and personally. lightstock_76141_xsmall_user_6214500Share the love  of Jesus with others. Lead them to his saving power! God has a job for each of us. We need to carry out our assignments! The time is short.

We also need to stay informed. To understand the last day prophecies and how they are being fulfilled daily. The disasters. The deception. The immorality. The persecution of believers. The shifting of world powers. The increased natural disasters. And on and on. One way to do that, of course, is to study the scriptures and stay up on world news. Another way is to follow blogs and tweets and newsletters of Christian teachers on the subject. Please visit this page on Find Christian Links. It will give you some ideas about where to get started. I’ve recently updated the page. Please send me any input you may have about websites or ministries that should be added by commenting on this post.

“And since you don’t know when that time will come, be on guard! Stay alert! The coming of the Son of Man can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. When he left home, he gave each of his slaves instructions about the work they were to do, and he told the gatekeeper to watch for his return. You, too, must keep watch! For you don’t know when the master of the household will return—in the evening, at midnight, before dawn, or at daybreak. Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning. I say to you what I say to everyone: Watch for him!” (Words of Jesus in Mark 13:33-37 NLT)

The Battle for America

world-globe-bible-web-sizeWatching the news during these times of turmoil can be unsettling at best. What is really happening? How does this line up with Bible prophecy? What would God have me do?
I believe Hal Lindsey has a finger on the pulse of current events . . . from a biblical perspective. Below is an email I just received and wanted to share it. I agree with him that there is a supernatural struggle going on. I hope you’ll read the newsletter and visit his website to learn more. March 3rd, 2017

As I’ve told you several times in the last few weeks, I believe the real battle for American has now begun.

The election of Donald Trump as our 45th President didn’t end the struggle. It started it.

Even though he is an imperfect man, and will be an imperfect President, it is daily becoming more obvious that President Trump is committed to restoring to America the values and strengths that the previous administration worked so hard to destroy. And almost succeeded.

That’s why former President Obama has remained in Washington, unlike any other President in the past century. He is working to build an organization to oppose President Trump every step of the way. In fact, rumor has it inside the Beltway, that Obama is committed to driving Mr. Trump from office through resignation or impeachment.

Is that rank arrogance or narcissism? Or is it something deeper?

I believe it is something deeper.

I believe that in the coming weeks, months, and years, we will see struggles and battles unlike anything we have witnessed in American politics before. Why? Because the powers of the air are locked in combat. This is supernatural, folks.

I have often observed on this program that we are seeing supernatural forces at work in these end times. How else could a politician with so few accomplishments, no real-world job experience, and so much baggage as Barack Obama have even made it out of the Democratic primaries even just a few years ago?

Governor Howard Dean ruined his chances with an enthusiastic scream. Michael Dukakis looked silly in a tank commander’s helmet. George Muskie shed a few unmanly tears. Gary Hart was photographed with a girl sitting on his lap. Both fully clothed! All of them lost because of it and all were quite qualified.

Even George W. Bush’s campaign was almost derailed because he got a single DUI ticket (and a small fine) decades before — when he was a young man!

And how could a candidate like Hillary Clinton, who the FBI Director admitted had committed felonious offenses while Secretary of State, even win the Democratic nomination, much less almost win the Presidency? This is a woman who was fired from her first job on Capitol Hill by her Democrat boss for lying and fabricating evidence against Richard Nixon. And who was the subject of numerous investigations for scandals she instigated while First Lady.

Even a couple of decades ago, the Democrat Party would never have allowed either of these two candidates to see the light of day as their nominee.

But as we’ve grown closer to the end of this Age of Grace, the battle has heated up.

I think that is why we are seeing unprecedented rage over the loss of the election still being expressed by the Left. It seems many of them are becoming psychologically unhinged. It’s unreasonable. And so much of it is factually baseless.

But I can’t blame all of it on the mindless, often clueless, “millennials” and feminists and illegal immigrants who make up the bulk of the endless protests. I believe they are being used by the globalist-elites.

When President Trump promised to withdraw from the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), then honored his campaign promise and issued an Executive Order to start the withdrawal, I think it threw a wrench in the works for the globalists.

And when he encourages other nations, especially in the EU, to recover their national sovereignty and dignity, it inflames them all the more.

Why else would known globalist billionaires like George Soros, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Carlos Slim, and the list goes on and on (many of them most of us have never even heard of), dedicate so much wealth and political capital to defeat Trump’s agenda?

And why would the European Union threaten to refuse to accept Trump’s ambassador to the EU?

Because restoring America’s sovereignty and returning it to its strength and prominence stands in the way of their one-world-government aspirations.

And I think it’s more than safe to say that Satan plays a great hand in this. Delaying the rise of one-world governance delays the building of the apparatus the Antichrist will later use to govern the world.

Nationalism is the enemy of one-worldism. One-worldism is necessary for the Antichrist’s rule. And the multi-national trade organizations are the deceptive vehicles to one-world government.

So, folks, opposition to President Trump and his agenda goes deeper than fake news, fake claims of racism, fake claims of misogyny (By the way, Donald Trump chose a woman contractor to build Trump Tower in New York, making her the first woman in history to build a skyscraper. Some misogyny!), fake collaboration with the Russians, fake Hitlerism, and the list goes on!

These may be just the opening skirmishes in the battle to prepare the way for the Antichrist himself.

And if that’s not enough, last week the Democrat Party almost chose a known anti-Semite and supporter of radical Islamic causes as their new party chairman. Rep. Keith Ellison of Minnesota, the first Muslim elected to Congress, was narrowly defeated by President Obama’s personal choice, former Labor Secretary Tom Perez (also rather far-Left).

This week, I’ll tell you a little more about Keith Ellison’s history, his associations, and the people he holds in high regard. You will be shocked.

But, you may ask, why am I concerned? Ellison lost the party chairmanship to Perez.

Because Ellison was endorsed by Sen. Bernie Sanders, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer. That means that he is realistically next in line to lead the nation’s Democrats. And if Obama’s popularity wanes, and Chairman Perez loses his patron, that may happen sooner rather than later.

Friends, this should be a clarion call to all believers to intercede daily for our President and the leaders we chose to help restore America’s values, sovereignty, and strength. The Bible tells us that as the end of the Age approaches, the “birth pangs” would increase in frequency and intensity. I think they’re coming fast and furiously now. Please pray earnestly for God to continue extending His mercy and grace to our beloved nation. Only He, not President Trump or a Republican Congress, can save us.

Finally, this week I am going to continue my brief discussion of what lies ahead for the blood-washed believer. Last week, I discussed the joy that awaits us in eternity. This week, I’ll tell you a little about the “New Jerusalem.” You will want to know. You’ll be living there!

Something New

My Find Christian Links website and this blog have been sadly neglected . . . my apologies for that. It goes back to not enough hours in the day! But God prompted me this last week to get busy.

I started this website many years ago. Actually the first several years it was ChristianConnectionsUnlimited. My goals at that time included providing Christians with one website where they could find all kinds of Christian links . . . and to build a little extra income with affiliate sales. Through the years the site name changed once. The look has changed multiple times. And the purpose has expanded. I gradually added more information about Christian happening around the world and ways for believers to reach out and make a difference . . . and that became the strongest motivation.

Now I feel God wants me to take it to a new level. We are seeing last day prophecies fulfilled one after another. I believe Jesus is coming soon. His “soon” could be five years or fifty years, but we see the scene being set. As Christians we need to grow stronger in our faith so that no matter what challenges and persecution come, we will remain faithful. We need to be there for one another. And we need to focus on sharing the good news with everyone possible. And . . . I believe FindChristianLinks.com needs to focus on those very issues.

In the last few days, I’ve added a new look to the site and this blog. I’ve restructured the site. And the work is just beginning. It needs a lot of updating right now–and continually.

I need your help! I hope you will follow the blog to keep up with changes–and to give your input. I welcome your ideas. Tell me about topics and specific links you’d like me to add. Ask questions and offer suggestions. And tell me your story! What outreach have you or someone you know been involved in that has made a difference. Are you willing to share the details to help others do something similar? You can submit your thoughts through comments on this blog or by completing the information here.

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. (Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT)
